Join us as Beth Carter, Registrar at the Missouri Historical Society, will discuss  and examine Missouri's existing museum property law, review its strengths and, more importantly, its areas of deficiency in the framework of current museum best practices. We will explore how updated legislation can empower Missouri museums to better manage their collections, ensuring their long-term preservation and accessibility.

Afterwards, MAMA will announce the formation of a task force to lead this change in the law and invite individuals from various institutions across the state to join in on this effort.
